The first ride of the Summer was the W2K which is a section of the Taupō Great Lake Trail.
The vistas were just spectacular and the track was in good condition.
You can’t have a good ride without friends to help with transport. Richard & Sharon dropped us off and picked us up at the end of the day in Kinloch.
Plenty of help from grandkids cleaning cars.

Quiet ride with Matt & Nathan to Linton along the Manawatu River track before stopping for an ice-cream at the Esplanade café.
Finished the weekend with a ride down “Mr Twister” at the Arapuki Forest mountain bike park.
Celebrated Nathan’s Birthday by delivering an e-scooter that his Dad had purchased for him.
When we are in Palmerston North for a weekend, on the Saturday mornings I have been riding with a group of guys my age. They have been taking me on some pretty amazing tracks and trails in the hills and forests around the Manawatu.
This last weekend we cycled the Tararua windfarm track.
